When and why did you become interested in pursuing a music career?
I was always interested in music. I grew up around Gospel singers so I love music. My first loves were acting and dancing. A few years ago I just started writing lyrics and then this just happened at the right time.
Please tell us what you think about your new album ‘Autobiography'? Which song on the album is the most meaningful song to you and why? When will the album be released?
I really love my new album. My favorite song in the album is ‘Undiscovered.’ Every time I sing this song, it touches me. Sometimes I’ll even cry. It’s about my ex-boyfriend and telling him ‘I miss you.’ It’s so real to me. I wrote the lyrics while I was standing at the microphone.
My album, 'Autobiography' will be released on July 20th.
Where has/will your new album been promoted?
I’ll be in YM and Teen People. I’ll be performing on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’, doing radio shows like in Phoenix for the Big One! Festival in a few days. I’ll also be on Fox’s Summer Music Mania on June 3rd. There’s more stuff that comes up every day.
Upcoming in-person events are scheduled for 7/24 Seattle, WA - White River Ampitheatre Show, 7/25 San Bernardino, CA - Walmart at 6pm for a cd signing, 7/27 I will be on air with Ryan Seacrest, 7/31 Bloomington, MN - Mall of America, Sam Goody's at 2pm for a cd signing.
What kind of relationship do you have with your sister Jessica? Do you see and speak to her often?
We are really close. We talk every day. Right now we’re in New York together for different things and it’s great. We just did two commercials – one for Icebreakers and one for Pizza Hut so we got to spend those whole days together hanging out. That is always fun cause we’re both so busy.
How is your music different than Jessica’s music?
My music is much more rock. Jessica's albums are more pop like Mariah Carey and Celine Dion.
What are your hobbies and interests other than music?
I like to do a lot of stuff. I like to paint. I'm not that great at it, but I love to do it. I really love fashion so I'd really like to start a clothing line.
How has your role as Cecilia in WB’s hit TV series Seventh Heaven influenced your music and who you are as a person today?
I think playing Cecilia was a lot of fun. I don’t know how much influence she had on my music. It was definitely a stepping stone playing her for me. She is a strong girl and I loved playing her.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m going to do some festivals this summer and play at radio stations. Hopefully I’m going to line up a tour soon. I will always continue to do acting roles.
What would you like to say to all your TeenFX fans?
Thank you all for your support. I hope you like ‘Pieces of Me.’ This album is about my life so hopefully you will really like it. My MTV show ‘Meet Ashlee’ starts airing June 16th after new episodes of ‘Newlyweds’ so check it out.

I was always interested in music. I grew up around Gospel singers so I love music. My first loves were acting and dancing. A few years ago I just started writing lyrics and then this just happened at the right time.
My music is much more rock. Jessica's albums are more pop like Mariah Carey and Celine Dion.
