Michelle, thank you for this great interview for TeenFX.com. Your song, 'Are You Happy Now?' was totally awesome, and your latest CD album, 'Paper Hotel' is so cool.

When and how did you become interested in pursuing a music career?

"For as long as I can remember, and from what my family recalls, I was always singing. It was what made me happiest. It's in my blood."

What are your favorite musicians and why? How how have they influenced your music?

"I love the new Led Zepplin CD & Alanis Morrisette. Steve Nicks, Jonie Mitchell, Cat Stevens even.

Carlos Santana is great. I was honored to work with him. He inspired me to do my best and work hard on my album."

Are you satisfied with your music and image, or would you like to change something about it?

"Yes, I am satisfied with my music and image. I just want people to actually listen to each record, and give me a chance.

I don't know, but with younger artists, people kind of write us off as being this novelty kind of thing. They forget George Harrison was 17 when he was in the Beatles."

How has your life changed since becoming a famous musician?

"The biggest thing I am adjusting too is seeing how everyone likes my music. It's so great to see all the love, it's overwhelming."

What other hobbies are you interested in?

"I am interested in singing, writing, listening, and creating. Sleeping! Watching a lot of movies. Taking photos. Playing the cello, guitar, accordian, drums, and piano."

What is the title of your new album and when is it hitting the stores?

"Hotel Paper is the name of my new CD album. The album was written on hotel paper from around the world! It came out June 24th, 2003."

Have you developed a new video? Where will your video be promoted?

"Are You Happy Now? is the first single I developed on video. It has been on TRL since it debuted. It's doing really well at radio too! You can see the video on VH1, MTV, Much Music and at my official website, www.michellebranch.com. Don't forget to vote for it on TRL!

What is your favorite song on your new album and what does it personally mean to you?

"Empty Handed is my favorite song on my new album. I was really proud of myself after we recorded it. I have just grown up so much since the last album. I've had so many personal growth experiences."

What are your plans for the future?

"I will always be a songwriter, but I am definitely interested in getting into the business side of music. I'd like to continue signing bands and helping them make records. I would also like to write music for other artists."

What would you like to say to all your TeenFX fans?

"Thanks for your support! I appreciate it. Stay focused and be yourself, always!!"

Michelle Branch is the most beautiful, talented, amazing girl in the entire world (i haven't heard everyone sing or seen everyone, but of those people). I bought her first CD in August 2002 and d it. I bought the second one the day it came out and was happy to it debut at #2. I've also seen her at a variety show and opening for Sheryl Crow and the Dixie Chicks (for them I went just for Michelle and left) she's great and I wrote a great review of HOTEL PAPER in a widely circulated newspaper in my state. all I have to say is, if you don't have it yet, GET MOVING!
