How and when did you get started in the music business?
It all started with Tupac, he formed the group. Kastro and Tupac are cousins and Kastro and Edi grew up together in Atlanta. They knew Kadafi who is from New Jersey. The group started out as three, but then Napoleon who is also from New Jersey and grew up with Kadafi (they lost touch for a few years), he became the fourth member of the group.
Tupac took all of us and moved to Atlanta. Once we were in Atlanta we added two new members to the group, Fatal and Young Noble. We then moved to Los Angeles. This brought the total up to 6 members, the final for 4 members were added when we moved to LA. Mussolini and Konami joined Outlawz while remaining with their current group Thug Life, and the sole female of the group Storm was added to bring the total number of members to 9 and with Tupac we came to be 10 members.
How did the newcomer to your click, New Child, become a part of the group?
Fatal put him down.
What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop?
There are many ways to earn money, starring in movies, producing your own clothing line. Movies and clothes are alternative ways entertainers can make money as a result of their music talents, some artists are moving in this direction.
Do you plan on incorporating any type of political themes into your rhymes?
Outlawz is a politically and socially aware group. We write all of our own lyrics. Our top producers are Edi, LT Hot, and Mohammed Bell. The producers come to us with a beat, and we put our flows on top of that beat. We have always discussed political issues in our lyrics, and we will continue to discuss political and social issues in our lyrics.
What are some of your current endeavors?
We are in the process of establishing our own record label, Outlaw Records.
Some of the artists to be featured are Hellraiser (from New Jersey), Lil D
(from New Jersey), Ed Bone (from California) and Kamikaze (from Down South).
What's next for the Outlawz?
We came out with our latest album, 'Novakane', in October, so be sure to look for it in stores! "In 2002, we are coming out with solo albums", said Napoleon.

Let Tupac rest in peace. He's still all over the media. He produced more albums when he was dead than when he was alive. He is really dead or is living "off" somewhere and no one knows it?

Hey ya'll! I've was never really into the whole rap/ hip-hop thing, but then when I heard 2Pac "Changes" on the radio I had to go out and get his CDs, and I TOTALLY fell in love with rap/hip-hop music, espically 2Pac, so when I first heard about Outlawz I was totally swept away. Keep making slammin' music and just remember "2Pac 4~eva!"
