Since you guys do not wish to be a part of the CANCON regulations (stipulating that 30% Canadian music must be played on Canadian airwaves), do you feel that enough *QUALITY* Canadian bands get sufficient airtime? (Christine Louise Estima)

Perhaps not all of the great Canadian acts even get signed, let alone heard on the radio. Lots of Canada's great music gets played on the radio, but CanCon insures that lots of Canada's mediocre crap gets heard as well.
What was it that was so compelling about the poem 'Our Lady Peace' that made you want to name the band after it; what does it mean to you? Has it effected your sound and the way you present your music? (Sarah Chikoski)
It gave the reader a role in the poem by allowing for interpretation, we felt that we'd like the same relationship with the listener as Van Doren had with the reader. Personally I like the interpretation that suggests that man's reach must exceed his grasp.
What do you think about the 'One Man Army' Street Team soldiers? Did you know that we existed? (Tara McWatters)
Who do you think named you?? We feel respect and gratitude for the efforts you put in on our behalf. After all, we'd do anything for our music and you are helping us.

I was just wondering if you would consider Naveed, Clumsy, and Happiness as trilogy, with them all having 11 songs, Sol on the cover, the first song as the first single and having the word man in it, etc.You could have followed a similar concept with "Spiritual Machines", but you didn't. So I was wondering if you did that on purpose to make 'SM' a sort of step forward,taking off on a whole new idea, and breaking away from the "trilogy"? (Alana Dyer)
You found the trilogy idea, we didn't put it in there. We're just doing our best and thanks for looking so closely.

Passion, Integrity and Honesty.
Your lyrics contain a lot of spirituality, and references to God. Have there been any specific events in any of your lives that have influenced your spirituality, and your outlook on life, in general? (Evan Kovac)
Several, but that's why they call them personal lives.
Is there a moment/experience in each of your lives when you knew that music was what you wanted to do? If so, what was it? (WD5ball)
When I sensed that it was something that connected me to a greater whole, and would enable me to transcend the everyday, if only for a moment.
From what I have heard, gaining true fan loyalty is one of your biggest goals (I think one of you said The Tragically Hip have achieved this). So I was wondering if you guys feel you have finally achieved true fan loyalty as a whole? You have millions of loyal fans like me but I guess I'm wondering if you feel you have it yet, or if gaining it will be an ongoing project? (Sylvie Foss)
I think we have loyal fans, and our obligation because of that is to continue to earn that loyalty anew.

This is a shout out to Our Lady Peace.....guys, I think you're awesome, and I absolutely love your music. I'm more of a metal fan, and I dig a lot of older music like the Doors and Pink Floyd, so there really aren't that many modern bands that catch my attention, but OLP is definately one of the few. I have all your albums, and I've seen you in concert twice. (houston and dallas) So, keep up the great music, and I'm a forever fan! Love you!

I saw OLP in VA Beach on 5/12. I was totally blown away. Raine is so charismatic and beautiful. I went to an Our Lady Peace concert when the "world's a blister" tour was going on. it was such a show. the music was fantastic, the energy was through the roof, the band/audience vibes were bouncing off everywhere, the light show was amazing...I mean they not only put on a concert but they really did make it into an experience. I love olp!!!!! ive been a fan since 7th grade (im in 11th now. I live in arizona which is the crappiest placeto find out about really good music. They just came like a month ago and i changed my airline ticket just to see them. The day of the concert my friends and i went to the club they were playing at and had sign waiting there.
