GCGCGCGCGCGCGCGCGCGCGC, tho MXPX are definitely good, Good Charlotte got me into all the bands I'm into now and have been the reason I'm friends with a lot of my best friends now, and YES they are punk music. I would have to say MXPX, they've been around longer and every album they have is awesome and people definitely have to stop calling them a Christian band! That aggrevates me, even though I listen to Christian punk rock. I really like Good Charlotte, they're my second favorite band, but I have to MXPX when I really think about it.

GOOD CHARLOTTE all the way. I them. Ive lived them for a long time like 2 1/2 years and some people are just now hearing about them. Some people think they are becuz they are on trl. Well i consider them punk. I their new album. There are a couple of songs that arent punk but yet what is PUNK.. i dont think any artist or band should be catagorized.... there is no pop... punk...rap... hiphop.r&b..... its just music.. i dont think they should be labeled but.. what people now adays consider punk..I think good charlotte is around there... MXPX ... dont get me wrong i them too. They are a real good band. but no one is better than GC.

Look, I don't know the life stories of the guys in Good Charlotte....I'm sure they've had they're hard times, and they're definitely good at guitar, drums, etc. But....let's face it, the songwriting sucks balls. It's poppy and gets annoying REALLY fast. I don't think they're intelligence and personalities are as deep as other bands. They just don't have that....THING that successful bands need to have. MXPX is good too...in my opinion better than GC just because everything fits into place ly...they have that THING, I don't know how to explain it. Lol that didn't make any sense. Whatever.

I don't really listen to pop-punk. I have had just about enough of Good Charlotte...I can't stand them. They're too trendy and I want to bludgeon them with a heavy object. But as for MXPX, I have not heard all of their stuff. What I've listened to, I like. And it is a plus that the band and I share the same hometown, and so, I do prefer them to Good Charlotte. And my thoughts on what type of music they are, I say that they are pop-punk. But this genre all in all does not strike a chord for me like the Ramones and whatnot.

I've been a fan of GC's for a couple of years now, still like them. I choose them over MxPx, but I do like MxPx, they live near me, like 15 min away, so thats really . Just saw them like 6 days ago in concert too. They rock. And yes, GC do have emotional lyrics, haven't you ever heard the song "Hold On"???????????? They are totally awesome, and I them.

both, but good charlotte's better. they're more mainstream than mxpx which some has alot to do with why people like one or the other. not enough people give mxpx credit, but good charlotte's still more talented.
