Like the title says... what do you think of Canada? I think it's a great country, I the place and quite a lotta things too. Just the place.

I Canada! It's got a bad image from the media though. Honestly, do people think we really don't have running water, we're lumberjacks, live in igloos and eat seal blubber? Poor Canada!

I know! there's so many stereotypes on canada. although i dont live there, i've been there and actually talk to 2 ppl from there. Some of the jokes about canada r ny, but some r pretty harsh. i think we're equal and should acknowlege that

Hey i'm from australia and I don't believe all that stereotype crap. I don't think all that many people do, but anyhoo one word that comes to mind when I think of Canada is "COLD" I have friends who've been there and i'm horrified. I'm sure I would die if i went there. (Oh yea where I live the temp. reaches 45 degrees celcius, so yea go figure)

I have actually never been to Canada but I have a canadian friend who returns to Canada with her family like every summer and vacation that they possibly can. She likes it there a lot.

I Canada! I live there, and I my country so much, best in the world! Canada's like the baby sibling of countries, and it is not that cold! If you can't take -10 to -15 at the coldest in the winter, you're a wimp. It's not really that cold, and in summer, it's and warm. It's beautiful, and I just everything about it! Pity on everyone who doesn't live in Canada.

wow, I've lived in the US for most of my life and I've never heard any of those mean kinda stereotypes...if people say them then wow it just goes to show how uneducated they are but let me tell you in the four places that I've lived in America no one thinks that everyone in Canada are lumberjacks and they live in igloos... so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you... haha anyways that's nothing compared to the reputation America has now thanks to our uneducated pres. from Texas...

canada is awsome we have the bestest beer ( ) comercials. the best one is the one with all the stereotypes in it.well america didn't get it i think so i'll post the world for it.
Hey, I'm not a lumberjack, or a fur trader.... I don't live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled.... and I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada, although I'm certain they're really really .
I have a Prime Minister, not a president. I speak English and French, not American. And I pronounce it 'about', not 'a boot'.
I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack. I believe in peace keeping, not policing, diversity, not assimilation, and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal. A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch, and it is pronounced 'zed' not 'zee', 'zed' !!!!
Canada is the second largest landmass! The first nation of hockey! and the best part of North America
My name is Joe!! And I am Canadian!!!

Well I've never been there, but it sounds like an interesting place. I live in U.S.A. and I've never heard of any of those sterotypes. I think I would like Canada.

Actually I have a ny story...
I live in Canada and I once met a person online whom lived in the south of the States. He asked me if I lived in an igloo, and that whole bit. I just went along with and said that I did (of course, I don't live in an igloo). Then, he asked me how come I had internet if I was in an igloo. I just responded: "Oh well, not too many people up here get internet, but we're lucky. Although my sister and I have to take turns cranking the electric generator outside to get electricity for the computer," . He was totally convinced.
All I have to say about this is that if it ever does happen that you meet someone who thinks you're a lumberjack or what-not just go along with the story and have a good laugh. I think Americans who live closer to our border know more how we really live.

Funny story: One day, in the middle of August, a car pulls up in front of my friend's house with all sorts of ski equipment on the top. The guy in the driver's seat rolls his window down and asks my friend, "Hi, we're from the US, and we want to go skiing, where's the snow?" !!!!! And also, when I was in Europe, everyone instantly became so much friendlier to me once they found out that I was Canadian and not American! It was great!
