Songs in A minor - Alicia Keys
Her style is hip-hop, R&B, and heart-filled song writing. Her first single from the album was the soulful and deep "Fallin". "Fallin" is a mix of classical piano and today's hip-hop and R&B. The track "How Come You Don't Call Me" originally performed by artist Prince, is a funky upbeat yet smooth track. Her new single, "A Woman' Worth", tells how a real woman should be treated. It has silky smooth rhythms and a cool beat. Another catchy track on her album is the funky R&B "Jane Doe". A soul-driven ballad of the album is "Goodbye", filled with passion and heartbreak. One of my favorite songs on the album is the funky, seductive duet with Jimmy Cozier called "Mr. Man" with its smooth melody and rhythmic beats. The track "Never Felt This Way" shows off her classical piano playing. The track "Why Do I Feel Sad" has a cool guitar riff and funky beat. The song "Caged Bird" is probably my favorite song on the album. It has a pretty music box sound to it, mixed with a soulful ballad sound. A bonus track on the album is "Lovin U", with an old '60s soul sound mixed with modern hip-hop beats.
