This song is a catchy, upbeat song, that kind of sums up her idea for this album...m!ssundaztood! :)

Track 2: DON'T LET ME GET ME
This is one of my favourite songs on the CD, for many reasons...I can really relate to the lyrics and this song really sticks with you for awhile!

"I never win 1st place/ I don't support the team/ I can't take direction/ And my socks are never clean... I was always in a fight/ 'Cause I can't do nothing right//Everyday I fight a war against the mirror/ Can't take the person staring back at me// I'm a hazard to myself...Don't want to be my friend no more/ I wanna be somebody else.."

Track 3: Just Like a Pill
This song is really deep. To me, it's about a boyfriend who isn't really treating her right and she needs to get out and ...
"I think I'll get out of here// Where I can run just as fast as I can/ To the middle of nowhere/ To the middle of my frustrated fears// And I swear you're just like a pill/ Instead of making me better/ You keep making me ill..."

Track 4: GET THE PARTY STARTED
Most of you have probably heard it before.
"I'm coming up so you better get this party started/ I'm coming up so you better get this party started// Get this party started on a Saturday night/ Everybody's waiting for me to arrive..."

Track 5: RESPECT
I love this song!! It talks about how I guy should respect you and girls should respect themselves. I love the groove of this song, too!!
" 'Cause this body is a priceless piece/ Of lovin' unconditionally, yes/ So Mr. BigStuff, who you think you are? / You was thinkin' you's gon' git it for free? // Hey ladies, yeah? ? Let 'em know it ain't easy / R-E-S-P-E-C-T/ Let's come together. ."

Track 6: 18 WHEELER
This song is really inspirational. It is really saying that no matter what anybody does, they can't keep you down...you just dust it off, and get right back on that horse!! :)
"Hey, hey man, what's your problem/ I see you try to hurt me bad/ Don't know what you're up against / Maybe you should reconsider / Come up with another plan/ 'Cause you know I'm not that kind of girl / That'll lay there let you come first // You can push me out the window/ I'll just get back up..."

Track 7: FAMILY PORTRAIT
This song is really, really meaningful. Definatly another one of my favs.

Track 8: MISERY
This song is really about the Blues! Her boyfriend is gone and her life hasn't been the same.

"Since he's been gone I ain't been the same/ I carry the weight like an ol' ball and chain/ Guess it's all meant to be... for love to cause me misery//Misery... Misery/ Tell me why does my heart make a fool out of me/ Seems it's my destiny.../For love to cause me misery"

Track 9: DEAR DIARY
I really love this song too. The music is way cool, and the lyrics are so true also.

"Dear, dear diary/ I wanna tell my secrets/ I know you'll keep them/ So this is what I've done// I've been down every road/ You could go/ I've made some bad choices/ As you know/ Seems like I got this whole world? Cradled in my hand/ It's just like me not to understand, yeah//

Track 10: EVENTUALLY
This song is one of those slow songs, but it really speaks out.

"This life gets lonely/ When everybody wants something/ They'll smile up in your face/ But they'll get theirs eventually/ and I hope I'm there. ."

Track 11: LONELY
Another favourite of mine. This song is really about finding out who you are and having to go through pain, constantly fighting a war between who you really are and you who dreamt up to be.

"Do you even know who you are? / I guess i'm trying to find/ A borrowed dream or a superstar?/ I want to be a star/ Is life good to you, or is it bad?/ I can't tell anymore/ Do you even know what you have?...I'm a lonely girl/ I'll tell a tale for you/ 'Cause I'm just trying to make/ All my dreams come true.."

Track 12: NUMB

This song is about a relationship that was going bad, the guy made her feel numb when she gave him her all. Defending the war, while crying inside.

"Like the coldest winter/ I am frozen from you/ I was weak before now you've made me / So numb I don't feel much for you anymore/ I gave you my all baby/ I'm numb, numb, numb// But the tears were silent inside you see/ I laid there quiet.."

Track 13: GONE TO CALIFORNIA

This song is about her going to California, to find her soul, for a better life.

"I'm goin' to California/ I'm goin' far, far, away// Goin' to California, yes/ to resurrect my soul/ the sun is always shining/ or at least that's what I'm told..."

Track 14: MY VIETNAM

This song is a pretty good closing song to the Album.
"Daddy was a soldier/ He taught me about freedom/ Peace and all the great things/ That we can take advantage of/ Once I fed the homeless/ I'll never forget/ The look upon their faces as I/ Treated them with respect// This is my Vietnam/ I'm at war/ Life keep son dropping bombs / and I keep score..."
