The Lion King

This was a fabulous musical and a real extravaganza that held me from beginning to end. From the opening scene the show was awesome and you became absorbed in the storyline. The actors were great, the costumes were lavish and colorful, and the music powerful. Elton John and Tim Rice wrote some of the songs which stood out. This fable is based around the animal kingdom and was very creative in its presentation. It is a must-see show for all ages and worth considering if it is on near you.

I have just seen the show, Billy Elliot. It was excellent but you need to know the background of the story to understand the bigger picture. The accent was hard at times to understand but after awhile you got used to it. The language is not good and the show is not suitable for children. Elton John was responsible for the music and it really grabbed you and followed the show.
