Moonshine and Skytoffee
Theater is not very popular among the mass in Chennai. Movies take up most of the space. But even in this scenario, there are quite a few theater groups who are making it big. Adaptations of famous novels and humor content forms the major themes.
I saw this play, "Moonshine and Skytoffee" recently. The play was really high on the humor, and we were in splits. It was an adaptation of two short stories, wonderfully weaved into one play. Next week, there's going to be a play that is an adaptation of SIX short stories. People do have amazing creativity! I should admit I watched the play because my friend acted in it. Otherwise, I would have been content watching movies... But I'm happy I watched that play, that has made me yearn for more such fun.
What do you think people should do to make theater more popular among the masses?
