Socializing on MySpace & Hype

I bet I'm one of the 10% here who doesn't have a MySpace. When my friends ask me for my MySpace name, I tell them straight out I have no MySpace. They stare at me with utter shock and ask, "You don't have a MySpace?" I don't get it. Why is that so shocking? Everyone I know has a MySpace except for me. I don't see MySpace as a good way of spending my time. I'd rather spend time hanging out with my friends in REAL LIFE. I think in this age of computers, we forget the meaning of spending quality time with friends and loved ones. Anyone here not have a MySpace?

Remember when Myspace was a way for fans to connect to the bands they liked and other fans as well? You don't? HHmmmm... How about the favorite game option? Remember that?

i dont have one. its kindof a idea but ive seen all my friends get addicted one by one and id rather not get like that. . i have better things to do w my life

I don't have a MySpace either. I used to but shut it down because of my safety and concerns. Therefore, I tell everyone whether they give me weird looks or not. I highly do not recommend MySpace either. Don't push yourself to be like everyone else when it comes to the internet because sites like MySpace and Facebook can be really dangerous.

yea i dun got myspace either.but to be honest i want one. i mean i want it to keep in contact w/ people that move away you know? but i don`t take it as my QUALITY time w/ friends.so yea.

I do have one, but it's simple and I don't spend all my time on it. I only use it to keep in touch with my friends who moved away. Sometimes phone complications don't really carry a conversation, so it's alot easier to hop on to the internet and chat with them that way.

i dont have a my space cause im not allowed to but people who arent allowed to still get one i dont want one anyways but sometimes it could look and when i say i dont have one ppl look like why u dont have one but i total agree with every thing u said

I see your point. I do have a MySpace, but it's a simple one. I use it to keep in touch with people I've moved away from (I moved a lot when I was younger) and if I'm bored. It's to see a unique person out there.
