Microsoft Vista
Sometime ago I got a new laptop for college that had the Microsoft Vista Home Basic edition and I have had nothing but problems. Now, some of my software programs that ran perfectly on XP cause my computer to freeze or my computer just shuts down. Also, I cannot access all the components of my software programs, I simply cannot get into them. All this is very frustrating. Is anyone else having these problems? Maybe I should have bought a laptop with Microsoft Home Premium but I may have had the same problem. I look forward to hearing from others who have made this platform change.

Vista is an awful system... I :)d Mac's responses to Vista, saying things like instead of fixing the system, let's just spend millions on advertising... which Microsoft did!

I have Vista also and I don't have those problems to the same degree..Just make sure you have all the updates possible for vista, and check some websites of the programs you have, many have updates for vista so they can work again. Also if that doesnt help try calling microsoft. I've only had one thing not work on vista (basic) so it really depends on what you are trying to run I suppose.
