Dogs & Cats: Abused to Make Dog and Cat Food?!?
Hello there, if you believe Animal testing is wrong then you may want to read this article. It tells about how cats and dogs are abused to make dog and cat food. Not in all brands but in many, especially IAMS. I was shocked when I found this out because IAMS is a brand my dogs used to eat. Here are some ways they abuse the animals.
1. Sick dogs are not given vet care.
2. Dogs who bark to much have their vocal cords taken out!
3. They have tiny, disgusting cages they are confined to all day aside from when they're used for tests.
4. Dogs have chunks of muscle cut from their legs.
5. The animals are subjected to years of testing.

I found this out on PETA'S website, I've paraphrased a few things, and I give them the credit for finding this out, please see their site for more information and to find dog and cat food brands that do NOT subject animals to this kind of cruelty. Thank you for reading this article.

OMG. how can someone be so mean to these animals. they represent us humans in a lot of ways. i just dont see how people cant treat them right. i mean they have feelings. seriously. i really despise people who are like this. i am so glad that my dog doesnt eat IAMS. that is so disgusting. and the people that buy that brand, are basically just supporting the company and the tests that are done. they will not get my business...seriously. thanx for the article. i hope those people get in trouble...why dont the SPCA do anything about it? if they can rescue abused animals, then why should animals that are used for testing be any different? that makes me soooooo angry.

Many brands of commercial pet food also contain roadkill picked literally from the streets.
