The Vans Warped Tour

I’m not the type of person who waits for something long, or even looks forward to something over a period of time. But one thing that I get excited about is the Vans Warped Tour.

I know, it's not as good as what it used to be, and a lot of the bands on it are sell-outs now. But that’s not the only reason I go, I come from an area where if you wear too much black you get down upon. So for that one day, I get to go down the road and fit in. I don’t get looked at funnily for anything I have on, or what I’m doing, because I know you can look at the person next to me and see worse. I love it. I love the feeling, the one when you can feel the guitar riffs in your chest from the amps. That feeling, it's just love for me. I love getting in the middle of mosh pits, or screaming back the lyrics to my favorite songs. I can go into the middle of a pit and walk out with five more friends. I’m just that type of person.

I wouldn’t suggest going to the Vans Warped Tour to you because, honestly, I don’t like sharing it with people who shouldn’t be there. The Vans Warped Tour used to be an underground concert where not that many people knew about it. It’s about a day of music, hanging out with your favorite bands, getting bloody, moshing and crowd surfing. That’s what Warped Tour means to me.
