I Made the Switch from a PC to a MAC and I LOVE it
So I was kind of skeptical about switching from a PC to a MAC mostly because it was so different and I was pretty proficient with PCs. The thing that really made me switch was that I got tired of all the service pack updates from windows and all of the pop ups and random spyware that I would get that would make my computer run really slowly. I had all of the best antivirus software and ran adaware at least once a day and it would pick up stuff, but I would still notice my computer moving along slowly.

Finally my $2,000 PC took a nose dive and the hard drive crashed. I decided to try out a MAC this time around and I was so surprised at how convenient and sleek it was! First of all you can't really find a sleeker looking computer that's less than an inch thick and has a great wide screen and only weighs 5 pounds. I bought the new MacBookPro, and I think it'll be awesome for college in the fall. Also, when you take a MAC out of the box it's ready to go. The operating system is already installed and you can just plug in your ethernet cable and start surfing the web and configuring the computer to your needs.

The only bad thing about owning a MAC is that sometimes certain software isn't available for MAC because MAC has such a small share of the market. I can't really play anything that is a windows media file because, well I don't have it! Overall, I have to say I'm glad I made the switch. Even my parents and siblings approved and think it's awesome. Anyway, if you ever have the chance to take a MAC out for a spin, try it, you might like it. I did and I'll probably never go back to a PC.

You can still use those programs. You can actually run windows over tiger or leopard on a mac. A lot of people in buisness school use that feature b/c lots of buisness studies programs are only on windows

I'm boycotting Apple until iTunes Music Store decides to make Rachmaninoff concertos cheaper! they said 99 cents per song but that only applies to mainstream pop/rock etc. Classical music is a whole different story.

MAC actually has a wireless router called an Airport Express that is wireless internet AND it lets you print wirelessly too! It's pretty impressive and very convenient without all of the extra wires to trip on. =)

I think Macs look awesome, but do they support wireless Internet? I have RoadRunner Cable.
