Looking For a New Pet
I currently live with my family as I work full-time and go to school full-time. We have a big house with a big yard and many pets. We have seven dogs and eight cats.
The dogs are inside dogs but go out to the bathroom and for play time and walks. Many of them like to go to the special stores that allow them to. The cats are inside only. We have three rabbits, four parakeets, a turtle, and two seven-inch black moores. I am looking for something small.
I used to have a hamster. He was the best, and I really miss him. He never bit anyone or ran from anyone; he lived to be about six. I would like to know if anyone here has ever owned a rat? What rats make the best pets? Should I get them in pairs, and which pair is better: male and male or female and female? What info or advice could you offer? If there are any other small pets you know about or have owned, please let me know what you think would be best.
