Sudoku

I'm sure by now everyone's either played Sudoku or at least seen it advertised in stores. For those of you who haven't, you don't know what you're missing. Although it appears to be very complicated and math-oriented, everyone of all ages can play and there is really no math involved. If you can count from 1 to 9 you can play Sudoku.

There are 81 small squares arranged in 9 rows of 9 to make a large square. In that large square are medium sized squares with 3 rows or 3 squares. The trick of the game is to put the numbers 1 through 9 in the smallest squares without repeating a number in either that row, column, or medium sized square.

I know it sounds really complicated but it's easier to explain with an actually Sudoku puzzle. And it's very addicting. Anywho, go Google one and start playing to find out addicting it is.

I REALLY do agree with you. I have played so many times I just can't stop. In fact during the school year my teacher had to threatin the class that if we did not stop playin them during discussions and class he would give anyone he seen with it a failing grade. I kind of felt bad becuz I started it.

I play it on the newspaper. I actually learned about it because of my boyfriend. He has a game, but once I was bored and I found it on the newspaper and started playing.

I agree it's technically not a math puzzle but using numbers just seems to work easier than using letters or something else.

I don't know why people are always talking about sudoku like it's a maths puzzle, it would be exactly the same if you had the letter A to I instead of numbers... I find sudoku ridiculously addictive! Once you get the hang of it it's so satisfying when each puzzle falls into place

My mom is ADDICTED to that game!!!!! She has like 8 thousand puzzle books. I've given it a s , but it was so hard. I don't understand it, and I don't really like it. But I think that's how it's become so popular.
