I am so sick of hearing about Paris Hllton claiming she is this decade's Marilyn Monroe. For those of you who don't know who Marilyn was, watch Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Seven Year Itch, Bus Stop and Some Like It Hot. She was a movie star, singer, and model who personified glamour and beauty for an entire generation.

In my opinion there will never be another Marilyn. Needless to say she is my role model. And not because she was beautiful and charismatic, but because of her incredible acting and singing skills and her enormous amount of compassion and strength. She is definitely an inspiration.

Almost forty-five years after her mysterious death Marilyn still had hundreds of thousands of fans and adrimirers.

Rest in Peace Marilyn, we love you! "Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did."

It's an insult to Marilyn Monroe to compare Paris to her. She and Paris cannot compare. Besides, Paris Hilton is as thin as a stick, Marilyn Monroe had a fuller body and looked great.

I don't think Paris Hilton is, I can't see how. Sure she has all the money in the world and she can get away with anything, but I mean come on. She is a terrible actress and she cannot sing. She makes me want to hit her. She is so annoying, she has slept with almost every guy who has money and is famous and she dresses like a lady. It's sad but true.

first of all i have to say i agree 100% i can not stand Paris! she has all the money in the world and she can do about anything she wants to. her new album (to me) sux. she cannot sing, it is the computer that made her sound like she is. it is sad that a person like her can go make an album while there is people in the world that is trying their hardest to let people hear their music and who can actually sing. its is also stupid Paris thinks so highly of herself. she will never be another Marilyn Monroe. actually no one will ever be. I agree with Kaeyln, but I have to add Nicole Kidman to that list. She's absolutely gorgeous. But that classic beauty is gone and buried with the legends of the early to mid 1900's.

I think that there is no movie today who is as beautiful as Marilyn was. Halle Berry and Catherine-Zeta Jones come close. They are both ethnic but also have classic beauty. No blond actress or singer of today can even compare to Marilyn. I guess that you could say Pam Anderson is our generation's ultimate blond bombshell would be Pam Anderson, but she is ugly and plastic. Guys only like her because of her huge knockers!

Marilyn Monroe died of a drug overdose. She is an icon and a great beauty, Paris Hilton is nothing like her.

yeh marylin monroe was a movie star and what not...but she was sleeping with John F. Kennedy...does sleeping with someone else's husband constitute as a slut? i think it does...and she did pose for playboy...but i will say i do think he real talent wasn't shown through her movies...because of the simple fact that she had a pretty face so she always play similar characters. Paris Hilton definately isn't our generations marylin monroe...but why would u wana be? she did die young of a drug overdose....

Oh my god, I totally agree! Paris Hilton is the complete opposite of Marilyn Monroe! She has no value to society whatsoever and she teaches everyone to be a lady. She is one of the most useless human beings on the planet and a diss to girlkind
