Therapeutic Games For Kids
I'm an undergraduate in college for a program that deals with disturbed kids whether it's depression, abuse, drugs, or homelessness. In my soon-to-be-profession we have to implement a lot of therapeutic activities. An example of one would be a card game with math questions on it to help maybe a kid who has discalculia (difficulty with math) or other mathematical disorders. Another is simon says-which teaches kids parts of the body and coordination. I was wondering if anyone else know any games like these? I'm going into my placement in January and to know some would be really helpful to me. Even games you wouldn't consider therapeutic would be helpful. What kind of games did you play as a kid? Thanks:)
