Culture Shock
Hi. I just moved to Wyoming from Connecticut, and let me tell you: there is a huge culture shock! Connecticut is in the armpit of New York City and Boston, and it's densely populated. I worked in the world's largest casino, so I am used to lots of people. I moved to Wyoming for my father's job. It's so much different here. People think I'm too outgoing and crazy. They are much more laidback and calm. I also dress trendier and a lot of them wear cowboy hats and ride in rodeos. They can't believe that I have never been to a rodeo. I know of a lot more musicians and bands. Anyway, have any of you experienced a similar experience? Please respond! Thanks!

Hey the davya! Yeah I've experienced something similar to that. I'm in the UK working on a magazine at the moment (it could be permanent, depending on how well the magazine does *fingers crossed* hehe) but I'm from sydney in australia and I've lived there all my life, up until the beginning of this year. I'd never been to the uk before then and seen as the language is the same I always thought it would be like living at home. Oh my god!!! How wrong was I?? It was very naive of me. When I left oz it was summer and I came to the uk and it was right in the middle of winter at it was sooooooo cold that my nose turned blue...hahaha!! The beaches here in wales are so pretty but nothing like the kind of beaches I'm used to. The people on the other hand are very much the same, only with reeeeeeeeeally great accents! The welsh accent is the nicest and I make my flatmates say certain words all the time :) But all in all I'm loving my experience in this foreign land and I can definately see this becoming my new 'home from home'. Lets hope the mag does as well as has been anticipated!!!
