~I'm SO proud of myself~
I've always been into musical instruments as I used to play the violin (for 5 years) and used to have music lessons. Today, thanx to what I knew about music, I taught myself how to play the piano, and although it's hard work, I find it so exciting.

The reason I'm so proud of myself is because during all this time, I haven't asked for anybody's help, I just learned by myself. I guess a lot of you guys do the same thing - or could do the same thing. All you need is commitment and passion. You like it, learn how to play it. Today I can play the piano/keyboard just like anyone else who's had lessons. I've never had a piano lesson in my whole life and I don't think i will ever have time for it.

But despite all this, guess what, I was asked to be the pianist at my church. Today I play for the youth choir and the youth service and I'll keep repeating it: I'm so proud and it's a great priviledge. People don't understand how I found the time to teach myself how to play, especially because I had to go to school and I was also a part-time model. But hey, anyone can do it, that's why I just wanna say: If you like a instrument, go ahead and learn how to play it because the result is great and you'll be so proud of yourself. If you have a hidden talent, go out there and make the most of it.

As much as I like your story, there is no way that anyone can suddenly 'learn' an instrument. Perhaps it is just a lack of appropriate clarity in your diction that has left me mildly baffled; hopefully that is the case. You'll never stop 'learning' an instrument as long as you continue to play it.

I know how you feel - I taught myself how to play the saxophone because my music teacher at school was "Too Busy" Oh well, great job!

Thanx a lot all of you. I understand why Cynthia is saying this though. But I'm sure you have a lot of things to be proud of too. I've always told people being proud doesn't necessarly means bragging about something. it's just that for once, I feel like I've achieved something!! And it's another way of telling young people that we've all got talents and we should all use them. But take care anyway
