The Britney Craze

Is it just me, or has the fashion world started going down the tubes with Britney Spears and her public nudity?! I don't mean teen clothing so much as I mean little girls clothes. I have witnessed some horrifying things while babysitting for three young fans of Britney Spears. These girls are sweet and charming to be around, but lately I've been noticing they are dressing alot like Little Britney clones, rather than 5 and 8 year old girls. For example, whenever I am over there they insist on listening to there idol, and being as young as they are , they want me to see anything and everything they own. Well this time they proudly showed me their new clothes , and I could not believe what I saw. A five year old with a keyhole top? An eight year old with a crop top? Teensy tiny short shorts on a little kid? Listening to Britney is one thing, but this is disgusting. Another thing that bothers me, Britneys new commercial, she's wearing "poser punk" , I have nothing against punks, or posers, but what I don't like is what I saw yesterday in target while shopping. As I passed the children's clothes, I saw a plaid mini skirt with a safety pin in it on display, paired with a tiny little t-shirt that had the word "rebel" on it in purple glitter. Folks, who lets their eight year old go to school dressed like a poser punk? Why does the fashion industry market slutty and revealing clothing to young girls?

face it in our society kids dress like mini-adults. its weird and lotsa other ppl dont do it..but ne way whats wrong with a keyhole top? unless it is like 5 inches in diameter theyre not bad...and everyone wears short shorts unless ur a grandma or fat person

it aint britneys fault. and i know what u mean. last week i saw a little girl who looked about 7-9 wearin a t-shirt that said "playboy bunny".

It's not Britney's fault... it's their parents'! What kind of parents would buy that kind of clothes to their kids!

i think u must have spend your whole life hating britney and not doing anything else because u haven't seen other female celebs dressing, and yes, they are ADULT like her. and who says those little kids are following britney? are u trying to say if little kids own shorts and sleeveless tops, they are considered britney clones? and who says britney is the only role model in the world who has to be a saint.
