Hey all--

So any of you interested in HAM radio? Yeah, I know, I know, it's like an old man's hobby, huh? Well, you would be surprised about how modern this hobby actually is. You ever use a cordless phone? How about a walkie-talkie? Or how about wireless internet? Yep, most of these things had their origins in ham radio. Plus, it's great for emergencies, especially in times like these.

In ham radio, you can experiment with all types of communication from regular voice "walkie-talkie" type communication to digital (data) communications, bouncing your signal off of the moon.

It's pretty incredible what you can do with radio waves. Also, ham radio is a great place to meet people who are very knowledgeable about electronics in general. So, if you are interested in electronics or communications, this may be the hobby for you.
